Looking for a good way to make your bathroom more inviting for guests around the holidays? A fresh coat of paint, and some cute holiday decor really makes a big difference! This was the very first time I have prepped painted a room from start to finish (with a bit of Bobby's help, thankfully!!), and I am SO excited to show you how it all turned out.

A very special thanks to Georgia-Pacific / Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Mega Rolls and Collective Bias for inviting me to participate in their Holiday promotion this year!

So excited to take you through our bathroom updates, and show you some adorable holiday decor ideas!

THE REMODELING PROCESS

We worked for DAYS and DAYS and DAYS on this project. It's by far the largest project I have ever done for the sake of my blog :) Definitely a labor of love, though, and this project came at the perfect time! I am sure we will have extra company because of the holidays, and this adds such a charming element to our home! I learned so much, and know exactly what I would do to streamline the process next time. I was overall super happy with how much time I spent doing the prep work, because every little imperfection that you don't sand or spackle definitely shows up when you paint the new color on the walls.

A little while back, our bathroom was this awful, faded, pale pink color with the worst paint job I've ever seen! I guess I was so interested in starting this project, that I did not get a good photo of the "before" until after I taped EVERY SINGLE EDGE of every surface, and also sanded a bit. It's like the previous owner painted and did everything all in one day, making my job a whole lot harder when it came to prep work. We were fortunate enough to have a contractor and friend help us install a new mirror, vanity, and toilet a while back, which made the room look way better. But, as time went on, my hopes of getting the room finalized, painted, and decorated kept being put off, and nothing happened for longer than expected.

This bathroom deserved a good makeover, and I am happier than I could have ever imagined with the new paint color, Concrete Grey. Although it does not look like a drastic change from afar, I think this new, more subtle color is a winner for this bathroom refresher. I'm so incredibly happy that us and our guests now have a beautifully renovated bathroom to enjoy, always fully stocked with TP and other supplies!

I will share my favorite supplies in another post, soon, but I wanted to mention that the sticky cling wrap made my life SO much easier during this process! You get so much in the larger-sized box, that I even had some left over, after covering the vanity/cabinet, mirror, and a large portion of the tub including the faucet and shower head. I was such a perfectionist during the taping step, but my ceilings look amazing where they meet the wall, and most everything else looks absolutely incredibly and professional! Yay, me :) Gotta toot my own horn after this one, friends! Love these small updates that made such a big impact!

I literally prepped this bathroom from the moment I got up each day, until the moment I fell asleep at around 2-3 am each night, but I fell asleep each night very satisfied, and happy with my progress!

Below, check out my adorable, new shower curtain from Target. It's got a beautiful pattern to it, while still being all one color - something which I think adds big impact, and will be perfect for any season or holiday decor theme. I also threaded some clear/white garland and Christmas Tree beads in this gorgeous aqua color for big impact. Some more holiday touches include vintage-style glass ornaments hung on the shower curtain, and also a few snowflake ornaments I attached to the window, with aqua blue twine. A holiday/winter-themed rug is also a cute way to tie in a bit more softness. A white furry rug would also be a dream in this space!

Most importantly, I always make sure I have clean bathroom waiting for guests, stocked with enough TP and other comfort items when they arrive. Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Mega Rolls (12 count) available at Target last way longer than other brands I've used! Which is great for company. I cannot believe how much TP is on each roll, and it's super soft. Getting 4 rolls in one makes the holiday season smoother and more enjoyable for guests :) You have to worry less about whether your bathroom is stocked up, and get to spend more time with your guests and enjoying your time during such a busy season.

FIND QUILTED NORTHERN ULTRA SOFT & STRONG® MEGA ROLLS IN THE 12 COUNT AT TARGET

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to find this awesome toilet paper at Target in the TP aisle. I used my Cartwheel offer to get 5% off of my purchase! YAY for deals!

Three of these mega sized rolls fit into my vintage-style wire basket. I love how this fits on the back of the toilet just perfectly, and will be so helpful for guests when they are visiting!

Some holiday touches include a beautiful camping-esque metal mug with candy canes inside, all of which you can find at Target. I just love the vintage touches this adds to the space.

If you're going to have a full house this holiday season, then you may want to consider stocking up on essentials like Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong® Mega Rolls, because the rolls last longer, ensuring less roll changes! They contain 4 regular rolls in one, and still fit onto traditional toilet paper roll holders (and look fuller), which I was so happy about, since I completely switched out our TP roll holder for a similar, new one. So great to see things shiny, new and clean in your own bathroom. I always make sure guests don't experience a bath tissue run out!

Thank you all so much for following along my Mico-Bathroom Makeover, and hopefully I inspired you to refresh your space with a new coat of paint, some hard work, and a ton of the cutest holiday decor ever!
